From Earth to Paint:
An Introduction to Making Watercolour Paint with Foraged Earth
Conducted by :
Wild Dot – Makers of Plant-based Pigments & Watercolours from Southeast Asia
The Refinery Workspace (115 King George's Ave #03-02)
Join Wild Dot in a sensory experience to make your own paint, and discover the different types of natural pigments found in Singapore that the team found, made and worked with. Participants will learn the steps to process clay rocks into colour pigments, the ingredients that go into a watercolour binder, and finally mull the pigments and binder by hand into their own unique pan of earth watercolour to bring home.
All tools, materials are provided and no prior knowledge is necessary. You'll get to take home about 3-3.5ml of paint stored in a pod made with upcycled wood offcuts.
Note: As all wood pieces are unique on its own, the size and exact look of the palette might differ slightly!
